The Journey Continues
Hello everyone! It’s been a few months since I’ve posted a blog, but I am planning to keep writing more regularly. Since I’ve been back from Nashville the musical journey has continued and I’ve been greatly blessed. I was so worried about coming back to Canada and starting fresh without a good team of people around me to support me in my journey, but I have been so lucky to meet such an amazing group of people who have truly given me a hand as an artist! Since I’ve been back , I have been working with a Vocal Coach and taking Song writing lessons to improve in my skills as an artist. I have also had some amazing opportunities to perform at various places, to co-write with some other talented artists, and to be interviewed over radio. I am currently working on a new single, and there will be more songs coming out, and I can’t wait for you all to hear them! I have been very fortunate since I have been back but I have also learned that it takes hard work and perseverance to move forward in the music industry. At times things can get tough but it is important to keep your head up, and push through even when the road gets a little rocky, or when things are taking longer than you expected. Ultimately I have learned the importance of patience as well as perseverance. Sometimes I also find myself getting much too ahead of myself, which I often tend to do, so I am learning the importance of enjoying every moment here in the present, rather than being apprehensive about the future and regretful of the past. The way I see it is, we have one life to live here on earth, so let’s continue to make the most of it, and do all we can do, while we can do it with all of our hearts. I cannot wait to see where this journey will continue, and I am extremely excited about where God will lead me next in my music career! But in the meantime I am extremely thankful for where I’m at :).
"Give me the gift of faith to be renewed and shared with others each day. Teach me to live in this moment only, looking neither to the past with regret, nor the future with apprehension. Let love be my aim and my life a prayer."
